During my contract position with the Internal Revenue Service in Washington, DC, I held a Public Trust security clearance and contributed to the development and maintenance of the agency’s public-facing Drupal 10 website. My responsibilities included building and maintaining custom Drupal modules and themes using PHP, Twig, and SASS within a highly collaborative Agile DevSecOps environment. I implemented responsive and accessible front-end components in full compliance with Section 508 standards, ensuring usability for all site visitors. In addition to front-end work, I managed content architecture, user roles, permissions, and system configurations to support secure and efficient site administration. I also configured SOLR to enhance search functionality and improve content indexing, supporting faster and more accurate information retrieval for users. To support continuous integration and delivery, I utilized GitLab for version control and CI/CD workflows, working closely with a cross-functional team of developers, testers, and analysts. As part of my role, I conducted peer code reviews to maintain high-quality standards and provided mentorship to junior developers, fostering growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
